I don't really know what to say. I've never lost anyone before.

He was a great man, and a great one to have as a grandfather.

Funeral's Wednesday.

Well, that was a depressing evening.

Grandpa's breathing and everything on his own, but I hope it doesn't last too long. Grandma won't leave the hospital until he actually goes, and she's too old to be spending the night in a chair like that.

My sister: An you can reserve the study carrels in the law library to store things, although anyone is technically allowed to use the carrel.
Me: They have that at the library too. There are storage spaces above them that people can lock their stuff in.
My sister: They don't have locks here.
Me: Well. This is Rutgers.

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was happy and whatnot.

So. Massimo, who is not actually related to me in any way, he is my uncle's ... grand nephew, I think? Anyway, he has been diagnosed with an incurable genetic disease that cause paralysis and death. Only males can get it, though females carry it so they have to take litte Luca, whose like three, to be tested. And their sister, I guess. There is no treatment and no cure. Nada. Just gonna die. Did I mention Massi is seven? Yeah. He's already showing signs of illness, which is how they daignosed him.
Don't bother sending sympathy to me, I don't really know these people. I met them once at Jessie's graduation, I think, and I've never even seen Luca. It's my uncle whose really torn up over it, he hasn't been to work in two days. He really loves those kids, he talks about them all time which is the only reason I know who they are. I'm just worried about him. So I dunno.
Just thinking about it, really ...

It's odd, but ... it's looking like the next gen console I'll buy might actually be ... an Xbox 360?? I still won't get anything for another year or two to see the game titles justify a purchase, but. Tales of Vesperia will be getting an Xbox release in english for some reason, although it will also be ps3 in Japan, and considering the track record with Tales of Symphonia, things don't look good for a dual console release. Symphonia is the best selling Tales game in the US, and Tales doesn't sell much here, but it still never got that ps2 release, so I'm not holding out for Vesperia. In addition, the next Final Fantasy is no longer ps3 exclusive, and while I don't care about FF, a lot of other JRPGs, which is all I really play, will follow squeenix as What to Do for the American market... I'm still waiting for Konami's word on Suikoden, though. That's really the series to decide. Don't divide my loyalties, konami :( :( (curses of hell be upon you, metal gear solid)

In other news OH GOD THE TOWER OF ZOT the pain it burnnnnnnns I don't remember it being this hard at all curse you DS remake.

In which I use the word cute a lot [25 Jul 2008|04:12pm]
My car is pretty and wonderful and mine all mine hahahahaha and expensive. Sure I'm still unemployed, but at least I'm not trapped in the house with my recently retired dad and his projects ahhhhhh. Also, bless you, morris township, for your easily bought off traffic courts. Not that I should be getting a ticket ANYWAY, but whatever.

My best friend's wedding was fun, and the bridesmaid dresses were very nice. hooray! I successfully avoided being hit on by the groom's frat brothers by spending the night being hit on by more familiar faces. But he's been trying for years, and still hasn't succeeded. I contemplated the possibility of hitting on a person of interest, but gave it up as too much work, even at a wedding. Me=lazy. I did see Evie leave the party with a frat brother, though. woot woot?

Of course, on the morning of the wedding the bride's grandmother was taken to the hospital (cancer) and the evening of the wedding her great grandmother (100) was taked to a different hospital. what a day. Luckily, neither's health was allowing them to attend the ceremony anyway, so it didn't effect anything except mood, which was pretty happy regardless. Her grandmother did not make it, the funeral was tuesday, but her great grandmother is still going strong. And today they left on their honeymoon. A week to remember I'm sure.

Real life, whatever. Now I'm gonna babble about other stuff.
