It's odd, but ... it's looking like the next gen console I'll buy might actually be ... an Xbox 360?? I still won't get anything for another year or two to see the game titles justify a purchase, but. Tales of Vesperia will be getting an Xbox release in english for some reason, although it will also be ps3 in Japan, and considering the track record with Tales of Symphonia, things don't look good for a dual console release. Symphonia is the best selling Tales game in the US, and Tales doesn't sell much here, but it still never got that ps2 release, so I'm not holding out for Vesperia. In addition, the next Final Fantasy is no longer ps3 exclusive, and while I don't care about FF, a lot of other JRPGs, which is all I really play, will follow squeenix as What to Do for the American market... I'm still waiting for Konami's word on Suikoden, though. That's really the series to decide. Don't divide my loyalties, konami :( :( (curses of hell be upon you, metal gear solid)

In other news OH GOD THE TOWER OF ZOT the pain it burnnnnnnns I don't remember it being this hard at all curse you DS remake.

My car is pretty and wonderful and mine all mine hahahahaha and expensive. Sure I'm still unemployed, but at least I'm not trapped in the house with my recently retired dad and his projects ahhhhhh. Also, bless you, morris township, for your easily bought off traffic courts. Not that I should be getting a ticket ANYWAY, but whatever.

My best friend's wedding was fun, and the bridesmaid dresses were very nice. hooray! I successfully avoided being hit on by the groom's frat brothers by spending the night being hit on by more familiar faces. But he's been trying for years, and still hasn't succeeded. I contemplated the possibility of hitting on a person of interest, but gave it up as too much work, even at a wedding. Me=lazy. I did see Evie leave the party with a frat brother, though. woot woot?

Of course, on the morning of the wedding the bride's grandmother was taken to the hospital (cancer) and the evening of the wedding her great grandmother (100) was taked to a different hospital. what a day. Luckily, neither's health was allowing them to attend the ceremony anyway, so it didn't effect anything except mood, which was pretty happy regardless. Her grandmother did not make it, the funeral was tuesday, but her great grandmother is still going strong. And today they left on their honeymoon. A week to remember I'm sure.

Real life, whatever. Now I'm gonna babble about other stuff.

IT'S CUTE. SO CUTE.

Did Cecil always have blue eyes? Why did I think he had green eyes? And why is Yang suddenly blond?

I hate voice acting in video games. Hate it. There is nothing I hate more than that. A fierce irrational hatred. Therefor I cannot tell you if the voice acting is any good. Because I turned it off.

WHY SO CUTE Cecil i cannot take take you seriously as a SERIOUS DARK KNIGHT with your tiny little feetsies. Not... that I can take him seriously anyway, the pretty pretty princess. He's even prettier in 3d!

Every time they translate that prophecy it sound more and more pretentious.

I was forced to listen to some of the voice acting before I could change the setting. "ceh-sil" I've never heard it pronounced any other way, but now I hear people complaining the name should be "cee-sil?" whatever, I've never heard it that way so shut up and say seh-sil.

EIDOLONS.

Glad ... to see they didn't mess with the difficulty level? gets raped by stupid water fiend AGAIN. never mind that better armor for my mages would be prohibitively expensive. Am I crazy, or did the bosses throw this many status ailments around before? Come back, FFIX, and your status ailment protection! :(

For a large portion of this game Cecil is the sole meatshield in front of a bunch of squishy mages. And Edward. I bet they did that just to make things harder. dicks.

Edward looks terminally depressed on his status screen. And cute, mustn't forget cute. He does have green eyes.

You can change your onscreen character! I ran around as Edward because it amused me. When you open the menu, the onscreen character gets a little thought bubble about what's going on right then. Edward: "Will my contributions make any difference?" No, Edward. No they won't.

Although, way to not be a complete pantywaist deadweight, Edward. You actually did stuff! I'm so proud. Also, Hide is now an option, rather than automatic.

On the equipment screen, when chosing the equipment for the character, Cecil looks ridiculous standing there SO SERIOUS while Rydia jumps up and down. And cute. SO CUTE. Paladin Cecil strikes a total diva pose when you select equpiment he can wear. Edward waves like Miss America. HA HA HA so does Rosa, they have, like, the exact same pose.

When Tellah levels up he tries to jump up and down, but then grabs his back HA HA HA. Porom jumps up and claps her hands it's REALLY CUTE.

I think ... that's Kain's hair. His LUSTRIOUS LONG BLOND LOCKS I don't know why I make fun of Cecil, at least he tries to hide it under his helmet.

As far as I can tell, everything is the same only prettier. There's more dialogue, I think, but I really can't tell if it's extended dialogue or just better translated. Perhaps someone who has the game memorized can tell better.

The wi-fi doohicky is this eidolon for Rydia that can fight online, Whyt, or its proper name Marshmallow. Well, I put in Mallow to fit the character limit. Eh, whatever, screw your wi-fi DS.

Final thought of the day is on Final Fantasy character design: Amano: ALL BLOND CHICKS OHOHOHO Nomura: ALL BRUNETTE CHICKS OHOHOHO Yoshino: EVERYONE'S BLOND uness they're evil. Or Ashley Riot.
VARIATY! you know I'm right. Rydia/Terra only has green hair to differentiate the sprites.

Guys, I think it's time I came clean.

... I don't really like Final Fantasy.

I mean, I love 9! Like, a lot! But it's the only one. I played 10, and it was fun, but I've never looked at it again. Never played 10-2. I've always wanted to try 7, but even though it's far from difficult to obtain, I've never gotten the inclination to hunt it down. Hated 8, hated 6. Never finished them. Never played 5, it came packaged with 6 for the ps so I never got it. I really do like 4... but it's like pulling teeth to play it. I swore I'd finish by the time the DS remake comes out, but doesn't look like it'll happen if I keep getting distracted by other games and their really really hot characters.

and then there's 12. I have so little interest in it's almost uncanny. I actually got a cheap used copy because ... I should play it, right? People say it's good! But the only reason i got it was ... Larsa is very cute. and thats it.

I find most other rpgs I play way more entertaining, even friggin Twilight of the Spirits which is why I'm playing it instead of FF12. So, I have confessed. The Final Fantasy series is Bleh.

IN OTHER NEWS night classes in the summer is horrible ... horribleness. Part of me can't wait until August (my vacatioooooooon) but then i have to like ... find a job. And then I'll have to work a job while taking classes. NO.
